HERE WE GO AGAIN!
Some time, roughly Augustish, Ethan and Xavier will become big brothers.

That's right, my sister is pregnant again.

Soon, a little dibbin, or dibbins (should there be more than one), shall be joining the nubbins. I'll keep you posted when I have more info.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
The boys turned one this past Sunday. Kind of hard to believe it's been a whole year already.

The got all sorts of neat and fun stuff. I got them the book Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?, which has become Ethan's favorite book lately, and the Baby Einstein video Baby Newton, which is all about shapes.

We're almost ready to walk any day now. Ethan has been walking along furniture and stuff if he's holding on to it, and Xavier has just started also doing that. As soon as they take the first steps, you'll know about it.

Last time I updated, Ethan only had a couple of teeth, and Xavier had none. Since then, Ethan's gotten several more teeth, with a couple more coming in, and Xavier has gained a couple, with a couple coming.

Xavier has discovered the joy of noise. He loves to hit things together to produce a sound. Give him two plastic balls, and he'll entertain himself just sitting there, banging them together. And somebody gave them a plastic drum set for their birthday. Heh heh heh.

I spend a couple hours a week watching them, and they're both a joy to be with. Incredibly smart too. The other day I was at the house. My sister was sitting with Ethan on the couch, and Xavier crawls over to her, holding a ball in each hand. He tries to pull himself up, but can't, because he can't get a grip on the couch. So he sets one of the balls on the edge of the couch, and starts to pull himself up. And naturally the ball rolls right off the couch. So he stops, grabs the ball, and places it back on the couch, and then tries to pull himself up again. And the ball rolls off again. And he picks it up again, and places it on the couch again, and starts pulling himself up again. And the ball rolls off. He goes through this process 3 or 4 more times. And you can see him trying to figure out a way that he'll have the ball available to him when he's standing up. You can really see him trying to figure out how to solve his problem. Eventually he succeeded, mostly because the ball didn't roll off the final time. And he gets this huge grin on his face, and giggles, and looks so happy. They're just so much fun to be around.

My sister has a pediatrician's appointment within the next day or two, so I'll have official stats for you when I get them.

We're going to try and get pictures taken on Friday afternoon, so hopefully I'll have a new one to show you soon.
